This Veteran’s Day Maple Knoll Village honors resident, employee veterans
Maple Knoll Village, a continuing care retirement community in Springdale, is proud to have dedicated residents and employees who have given precious time to serve this country. Eight years ago the Spiritual Care Department at Maple Knoll decided to have a formal program to thank these individuals who have served in armed services and it will continue again this year.
On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 Maple Knoll invites the community to join our residents and employees to participate in the Veterans’ Day Service. A Flag Raising will be held at promptly 9am and will be overseen by Chaplain Nancy Vilaboy who was instrumental in starting this program. The Buglers Society of America has once again offered to play during this special moment. After the raising of the flag everyone will proceed to the Maple Knoll Chapel on the Green for a special service honoring our veterans. When the time of reflection and prayer is complete, a video-slide presentation and refreshments will be offered in the Maple Knoll auditorium.
The video-slide presentation will display the pictures of the veterans connected to Maple Knoll Village with pictures during their time of service, years of service and honors received. This year 83 residents, 7 employees and 74 deceased residents will be honored for their commitment and dedication to this country.
For more information, or if you would like to attend this program please call 513.782.8315. Thank you to everyone who has given back to keep our country safe!
